"An immersion exhibit is a naturalistic zoo environment that gives visitors the sense of being in the animals' habitats. Buildings and barriers are hidden." To what extent are immersive exhibits effective at giving the visitors a sense of being in the animals' habitat. How would this work with large predators? Perhaps you could have a wet moat with lions, but tigers could swim across. A moat that is too wide would prevent animal viewing. What are the techniques used when creating immersive exhibits? Are there species that are more suited to this type of exhibit than others?
