I am looking for information about interaction (under protective contact) with crocodiles. Does any body know where they are being done. Or you can send me some information?
This probably isn't that reliable but I'll tell you anyway, umm, last time I went to Jong's Crcocdile farm ( Sarawak, Malaysia) I wanted to go handle some baby crocodiles after my uncle showed me a sign in bahasa, I didn't know what it said but he said it was about touching baby crocs, but my mother ended up saying no,, Plus I had a scary experince in that farm also! they let us walk on this wooden board walk with mother crocs and their nesting, suddenly when I was walking there was a massive thud! and a mother croc underneath me was jabbing from under, I stayed still but not even feeding time lead her away when all the others went to eat. Finally after having 5 more hard thumps she stopped.
Not sure if this helps you - but there is someone doing crocodile training in Queensland - http://www.zoochat.com/65/how-smile-crocodile-live-15380/
There is a lot of training with crocodilians (stationing, blood draws, etc.) at the Saint Augustine Alligator Farm in Florida.
Hi sarlo518, the ones we have here are to some point "trained". The guy that started and had more experience is now in Dubai, but the training is still going on, although now in the winter it's kind of hard... Let me know if you have any questions, and I'll try to help or ask to this friend of mine that used to work with them more often...
