A male Bonobo called Makanza moved from Milwaukee to Jacksonville, please can anyone tell me when he arrived? And have any Jacksonville Bonobos moved to other zoos?

They don’t have it either - no US holdings.

The LA Zoo has had multiple litters of giant otters over the last decade.

How common ( or rare ) are Giant river otters in the USA ? Does somebody have a complete list of holders and numbers kept ?
In Europe the species used to be very rare but several breeding-results have increased the number and now 20 zoos are keeping the species.

That parallels the pattern in the US also. Giant otters have started spreading from being in very few zoos a decade ago. Off the top of my head Los Angeles Zoo, Zoo Miami, Jacksonville Zoo, Birmingham Zoo, Zoo Atlanta, Dallas World Aquarium, Philadelphia Zoo, Roger Williams Park Zoo (Rhode Island), and Moody Gardens have them. There may be others. The Santa Ana Zoo in California has announced plans for getting giant otters eventually.
