Forgot to add Southern Bald Ibis as one of the current exclusivities, but might be included in Matsue Vogel Park as well.

This species is also housed at Saitama Children's Zoo, where it was first exhibited in Japan 25 years ago. In 2003, Saitama sent some bats to Ueno Zoo.

You’re right, my bad. I also forgot to include Gray Gentle Lemur and Javan Mouse Deer.

I am fairly certain that Saitama children’s zoo lost this species, but keep in mind that I might be mistaken

Which Japanese zoo do you think might keep fossa next? Sorry for talking about the Fossa too much, I just really miss him and it’s sad that another common European zoo species is gone from Japan.

Even Ueno Zoo has given up on keeping fossas, so I can't think of anywhere else. However, new Misaki Park in Osaka, set to open after 2032, is planning to build a tropical dome supervised by Mandai Wildlife Group. We may be able to expect a collection there.

I find this a bit surprising. Ventura had fossas and was situated behind a garden centre

Wow, that's amazing! The collection could introduce new and old faces to Japan! Could you send articles and websites that state that this is happening? Also I'm hoping Kobe Animal Kingdom or Saitama Children's Zoo will keep them as they are known for keeping small to medium sized animals in their collection, and the fossa might peak interest. Alas, the question is what's going to happen to the fossa enclosure. Any idea what Ueno will do with the former enclosure?

Hopefully, Ueno will know about the people who will miss Beza the fossa and consider bringing them back. There were a lot of Japanese people on Twitter that missed him dearly. Even NHK, a Japanese broadcasting channel did a series on the "last of their kind" animals in Japanese zoos and interviewed Beza's keepers shortly before he passed away. I can’t speak for SCZ but Kobe Animal Kingdom barely has space for what it currently keeps.

I don’t know Japan’s interpretation of CITES appendix II animals but it if were that easy, then Ueno would have replaced the female fossa sooner.

Currently, the news that Beza died is spreading even to Japanese local news.
