Welcome Falco ... great to have another Kiwi here.

Are we supposed to sing "Rock me Amadeus", or is that unrelated ? (the youngsters here may not get that reference !!) :D

    Thanks Guys

Next on the drawing board is the walk through Kea aviary. Kea being our local alpine parrot.

Sorry Sim, I must be to old. I don’t get it at all

Ki ora from a fellow Kiwi ( the human kind )

great to have you on board !
I visited Orana Park a couple of years ago -- you were still building the tiger enclosure then .
I live in windy Wellington , but I dont work for the zoo .
Nga Manu sanctuary has a small walk through kea exhibit .
Keas have got to be my favourite birds , mainly due to their antics and intelligence . Perhaps you could get an old car wreck from a wreckers yard once a week so the keas can show their strength and abilities ( as well as getting their fill of windscreen rubber which they seem so fond of )

    Hi Nigel
The plan for the aviary is a high country theme with a DOC hut with information about the bird etc.
