The park is closed between 3 March and 15 March to prevent the spread of Corona virus. The opening of the new exhibits has been delayed to March 20.
To make up for the closure, the park is showing the animals for 15 minutes every day during the closure through instagram.
The park showed the minuscule upgrade to the puma enclosure along with some new members to their prairie dog pack during their instagram livestream. The upgrade is just a small glass corridor. and here’s another video of the sand cat enclosure Twitter

The park just had its first sand cat kitten which is a male. This makes me wonder what will happen to the kittens once they are old enough. I don't know if there are any JAZA zoos scrambling to make new sand cat enclosures right now. Also on their website and on exhibit signs the park is warning guests against keeping sand cats as pets.
The alligator snapping turtle tank has been made into an otter enclosure and the park got new otters from the closed Misaki park. the park also announced the suspension of exhibition of the cape hyraxes
A while back the park suspended the major mitchel's cockatoo exhibit. The exhibit has been converted into a sand cat kitten display and this makes me seethe.
What then happened to the Malayan tapir extension project (as suggested earlier)? Is it still on the go or planned?
