Temporary, I think - there was a sign on the old enclosure saying they'd be back soon.

A fire occurred last night in the zoo’s bat/reptile house. Every animal in the building perished, including all 50 individuals of the Egyptian fruit bat colony, and the zoo’s cave racer snake, giant plated lizard, central bearded dragon, trio of giant day geckos, and Dabb spiny-tailed lizard/uromastyx.

This year the zoo is buildling two new enclosures for polar bears and the present one will be enlarged. In this way the little farm has been destroyed and will be relocated.
The zoo want to have a breeding facility and to add some lodges

What about the planed Africa Savannah ? From my point of view, a new giraffe enclosure and especially a new barn for them ist more needed than two new polar bear exhibits.

A lot of animals need better enclosure especially giraffes, common hippos and chimps.
An african savannah is planned into 2/3 years with, of course, an hotel. At the beginning, it was planned on the car park but last info said that it could be on historical part of the zoo.

An African savannah AND a hotel within the "historical" part of the zoo? Well that means either that many other exhibits must be bulldozed or it will end with a very small savannah or a very small hotel:confused::rolleyes::D

Birth of four smooth-coated otters. A first for the breeding pair and for the park.

July 11, 2020 opens the great novelty of the Flèche zoo: the land of polar bears.
A 1 hectare space made up of rivers and ponds, play and discovery spaces, a maternity den, medical training spaces.

Taiko the male already housed at the zoo and Quintana a female born in Munich will benefit from this territory.

In addition to this new territory, the zoo opens two new lodges facing this new space.

It is very strange because the zoo marks on its site that the space will allow Taiko and Quintana to be received.
The zoo would have been wrong on its own animal ???

At the beginning of the year, the giant anteaters house, a bats cave and small reptiles exhibits burned with deaths of 50 animals (reptiles and bats). The Zoo decide to just built a new and bigger giant anteaters house at the same place. They will not welcome bats and reptiles now but are thinking about it for the future (it will be in another area for sure).

During the covid-19 closure the zoo is doing some works :
    - creation of the maternity den for the female polar bear,
    - refurbishment of the sealions' pool and grandstand.
    - creation of a new enclosure for the giant anteaters on the former bats cave which was destroyed by a fire last year. The anteaters will be mixed with primates and birds.

New informations regarding the new anteaters enclosure : it will be a 1.000 m² and 7 meters high aviary where the giant anteaters will live with squirrel monkeys (already at the park but in a uggly enclosure) and birds. Closed to this new aviary there will be a new amardillos enclosure.
Moreover, the lowland tapris and the others animals of the south american pampa will have a new house.

And a video of the project :
