According to the zoos Facebook page a female Yellow-backed Duiker was born June 15th, exciting for me since they just arrived last summer!
Zoo Welcomes Baby Zebra Baby Grant's Zebra born at the Little Rock Zoo, the mom "Amara" was pregnant when she arrived in April of this year and has 2(?) other offspring also living at the zoo. First ever zebra birth in my memory for the zoo (not that my memory is very long at 21 years lol). Would anyone happen know what zoo she came from?

No official statement but the zoo recieved two new lionesses and a female Serval called Louise. The lion habitat had had recieved a facelift over the summer in preparation for the new females arriving which is taller and I suppose more secure than the previous exhibit and has an interaction/training wall. Louis the serval along with the zoo’s male serval and the 4 Angolan Colobus monkeys the zoo recieved last spring will be going into an exhibit that was supposed to have been started the fall of 2017 but has yet to have further details released. Does anyone know where the lionesses may have come from? I can’t find that information anywhere online as the zoo has not officially announced anything other than ‘new lions’ last month on Facebook.
Off the top of my head they could potentially be from Oregon, Cincinnatti, or Peoria zoo. Just some zoo’s I can think of that have had Cubs that might be of age now to be transferred out, just a guess. Do you by chance have any photos of the renovated space?
I did a bit more digging and they are the two female cubs born in Sacramento in 2014. I don’t have any photos, when I last visited there it was raining and I wasn’t going to pull my camera out lol, but I will visit next time I’m down there for sure.
New exhibits for serval and colobus monkeys are opening next year. Little Rock Zoo to spend $1.3M for new monkey, cat exhibits
"It's time the Little Rock Zoo invested in big vision improvements that attract people from around the region and inspire people to value and conserve our natural world," I couldn't agree more. As a Little Rock native I've known this has been in the works for a little bit and I'm very excited for this to finally start. I've included a rendering they put on their initial funding request, I'm sure that more will be published when they break ground.
Sloth bear, Pabu, will be arriving soon from Idaho Falls. Sloth bear to leave Idaho Falls Zoo Cheetah, Zazi, has been put down. Zoo's cheetah euthanized
Interesting move for the sloth bear. It seems there have been a lot of moves lately for this species within AZA.
Rebel and Tristan Since you have such an interest I’d recommend joint the AZA, if you work or even volunteer at a zoo or aquarium you can join at the professional associate level and get access to the studbooks and such that have this kind of information, it’s like $80/year. If not you can join at the Friend level and still get that same information (as far as I know).

A sloth bear cub has been born. She is the survivor of twins. After her brother died she was pulled for hand rearing and is doing well. LR Zoo welcomes sloth bear cub, invites public to help name her
I am curious if the twin did not survive because Khali harmed it. She did that with her previous litter of cubs so maybe it wasn't such a bad idea to pull the remaining cub. Regardless of the outcome, this is great news for the sloth bear population in the US and I hope the cub survives.
