    Hello All
    I hope someone can help l am seeking to photograph Molly , the adored orangutan whom passed away in 1924, she was taxidermized and placed back on display in her cage as an exhibit at Melbourne zoo
    i have some information but the trail has stopped

    Sounds like you should probably email a curator at the Melbourne Museum. She may have been donated to their collection. Or if not, perhaps contact Melbourne Zoo and ask if you can come into their archives for a research visit. She could have been sold to another museum or even now only preserved as a skeleton and not a skin or complete mount if her mount became infested and had to thrown away like other historic taxidermy mounts.     Thank you Sarus Crane , great idea for Melbourne zoo archives for a research visit l will follow up.
    l have been in touch with Melbourne Museum and they have some information on Mollie but not of the mount .
