I think this has come up in other threads, or possibly nobody knows exactly which animals they are. ISIS will have fairly up to date numbers, I don't think any of the Southport animals went there.

There are no (recent) Southport Mandrills at Chester.

The male was obtained from a dealer, but his background isn't known.

The two adult females are mother and daughter, both from Colchester Zoo. As such they do have some Southport blood- as does the rest of Colchester's large group.

One female(the mother?) rears her babies, the other does not.

The three (now four?) younger animals are offspring of the above adult trio.

ISIS lists 5.3 at Chester, though there is a new baby too, making 5.3.1

Thats a total of nine- so there are now five offspring from the adult Trio. Last time I went the young were 2.1. so there have presumably been two more male births since then.

1.I think all Mandrill groups in Uk have Southport x London blood. Both Paignton and Colchester started that way- male from London, female from Southport; or vice versa. Southport themselves also got some from the USA as fresh blood for their own animals. I think its some of these that went to Trotters.

2.South Lakes Mandrills are from a different source- Jerusalem, but from Vienna stock.

3.Southport's first pair came from a dealer(Ravensden?) I believe they initially took them as they were unwanted, rather than any deliberate desire to keep this species, but they turned out very successfull.

I expect no one replies because no one has the information you require.
