Bogong moths live in the arid plains of interior eastern Australia and then fly up to the mountains in the billions to spend summers in caves. New research suggests that they use magnetic fields to help find the caves and fly back. They have one of the largest know insect migrations.
Has anybody here seen a bogong moth?
