I got CollectA's Minke a few months ago and I agree it is fantastically done! Easily one of the best if not the best baleen whales I have. :)

I recently got a haul of rare and unusual creatures - mainly Japanese brands.

Like the sunfish, is that a Masked palm civet on the far right?

Very nice! What brand is the slow loris? I don't recall seeing that particular figure before.

That Tibetian fox is great, although tbh the face and color could use a rework.

It honestly seems quite accurate with how funky they look in real life :p

Most foxes don't have eyes looking away from each other in the first place, no matter the goofiness of their faces

I guess it's just a bad paint job but it's still the only Tibetan Fox figure in existence to my knowledge.

True, models of obscure creatures are, for obvious reasons, pretty rare.

    Why????

Have you seen images of tibetan fox??? It's an exact copy of this model.

No, the paintjob is absolutely accurate too.

That tibetan fox, from Natural Histoy brand (roughly traslated of Chinese) and "Naturally Adorable" series, is, in fact, the only one of your new additions that I have. The only issue with this figure is that compared with most of my animals is as big as a wolf, however I have other overgrown foxes too (fennec by CollectA and the not very great arctic fox by Safari), and all together match very well. Being my very very most favourite fox species (and I knew it thanks to Zoochat, as explained in this same tread long time ago), I absolutely love this model, that is indeed unique as species in figure form.

From all your other additions I probably only would pick up the Kaiyodo tamandua (pied version). For sure is smaller than the recently retired Mojo Fun tamandua, that I've rejected due to its size. The Play Visions aquatic genet also always caught my attention, tough probably it needs a slight repaint. It's curious that I knew this species thanks to this figure! The Eikoh slow loris also is a figure I like, but I thanks to your images now I know it's size and I will delete now from my wishlist as is too big. Maybe I can get the racoon dog, but there are finest examples of this species with various Kaiyodo models, the shame with Kaiyodo are the seams...

Edit: I've searched and the Kaiyodo tamandua also have very visible seams in the neck and base of tail, so I will let it pass

So I've managed to dig out my old figures from the attic - schleich, unbranded, playmobile, and some figures from the 90's.

I'll get some photos posted in the next few days (hopefully) - some of them are in need of a clean... and I need another trip into the attic, as a couple are missing

CollectA is just a very reliable company when it comes to accurate animals in general, I don't think I've seen a single one of their new sculpts that I've disliked

This second set is all hand sculpted and hand painted by yours truly. :)
Several of these are a little rough, but for a start I'm generally pretty happy with them, and looking forward to doing more!
