As a small cat fanatic, I will be the first to agree I would love to see black footed cats at the zoo as well!

    Why would it matter?

Just the fact that you are not interested in it, doesn't mean that this is not worthwhile information for others. For example: to me cricket (or baseball) is like watching grass grow with people in the way, but billions of people seem to disagree with me, and that is completely fine.

Can’t find a name for the male, but the female is “Yendi.”
    Because he wants to know.

I’m just curious why, not trying to say it’s wrong ask.

Thank you. I would like to know for three reasons:
    1. Even crocodilians can form a bond with each other

    2. Dwarf crocodiles are endangered

    3. I’m looking for facilities that house a male/female pair of crocodilians.

Ah I see, I apologize if I came off as rude in my original post.

Don’t worry about it, just want information about the pair. Making a list of known parks with pairs.

Kumba is the male dwarf crocodile's name. There is a breeding pair of ratels on exhibit now. Their names are Benzey and Clyde. I saw a penguin egg yesterday. I don't have any info on whether it is fertile or not. I am not sure if the keepers will pull it or see what the pair does with it. Rumor is the zoo is working towards opening the rest of Africa Rocks by Thanksgiving weekend.

20 Hamadryas Baboons are now on exhibit in Africa Rocks. I am hoping to get some photos on Friday.

And so are a half dozen geladas, for those who haven't seen the zoo news thread.

The entire Africa Rocks area is now open. I was only able to spend a couple of hours at the zoo today. I took my wide angle lens and shot some photos. I uploaded about 50 to the gallery. I started on Front Street and walked down. You enter right past the koalas. The only animals that have not gone on exhibit are the Nubian Ibex and the Coquerel’s sifaka. It is planned to exhibit the ibex with the geladas. I was very impressed. I hope you will be too.

I appreciate all the photos @betsy and I am sure many forum members do as well.

But you have like twenty baboon exhibit photos and only one leopard exhibit photo? Really? o_O;);)
