A spotted lanternfly was found in the city of Warwick, Rhode Island, marking the first time the invasive species has been seen in Rhode Island. The lanternfly has populations in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and Maryland, but it isn't known if this lanternfly is part of a population.
