Feline furballs stealing the show - Local - General - Bay Post/Moruya Examiner No whites one but o so kool!
I was just about to ask, how many do they have there? there are two separate enclosures for the animals to be on display and last I was there I could hardly see but there looked to be two or three in one, maybe more. but they were huddled up so again, couldn't be sure.
Werribee used to have servals didn't they.(I never saw them but if you look on any ole maps, like the one on zoolex it shows them.) Anyway the point i want to make is couldn't they keep them there if they still have the infastructure.
i have wondered the same PAT. yes werribee had a lone serval, for many years, who's exhibit was landscaped in such a way that it was absolutely impossible to see the cat. it apparently died, and for some reason, melbourne's serval pair were never moved there to fill the vacant exhibit.
Mogo now has 8 servals currently residing. Last year's litter of 2 went to the National Zoo (2 females) the end of last year. There are two display enclosures - one with the mum and two kittens (two are being hand-raised) and the other has a father and son. This is unusual, but the two get along very well. The father of the new kittens is in an off-display enclosure.
Would you be able to give me details of the other two servals, their names and the mother of the male that lives with his father? Thanks Jay
