    Just to muddy the waters further (which is hardly possible :rolleyes:) Jonathon Kingdon only uses the name sengi for the smaller species (such as the small-eared elephant shrew), rather than their bigger relatives like this new one.
    Maybe we should stick to the Latin and Greek :D

    sengi is a Bantu name (Bantu of course is a pretty broad term), but I don't know what it actually means.
