Is anyone familiar with Noah's Lost Ark Animal Sanctuary? It is in rural Mahoning County, Ohio, at 8424 Bedell Rd. (Mahoning 31) in Berlin Center. I live about an hour away, but visit 2 or 3 times a year. They have many animals that were abused and malnourished (such as lions, tigers, bears, and small cats) before getting to the sanctuary- which is a wonderful place. They also have goats, horses, deer, zebras, a camel, a bison, lemurs, capuchin monkeys, a binturong, wolves, tortoises, a blind cat "Alfie" and a hybrid between a housecat and a jungle cat. If you are ever in the area (it's between Alliance and Canfield/Youngstown), please visit. They do not advertise (even in the area- Alliance, etc.), and I found it by accident! It is probably one of my favorite zoos, along with Columbus, the Wilds, Living Treasures Moraine (the one in New Castle, Pennsylvania, not the location in Donegal which I heard is dirty), Living Desert, Bronx, and San Diego. It is a true hidden gem.
