Did not found any thread for this place, believe its one of the largest zoos in the Canary Islands, located on Gran Canaria.

A friend of mine did some volunteer work in this place for a few weeks in 2007. Many of the birds are apparently well cared for, but he found the condition in which the orangutangs was kept in appauling. Never been here myself so cant comment on that.

I read on their website that they will open a dolpinarium now in 2009 (dont we have enough of these in Spain already?), guess they will get animals from the Loro Parque but how will the standard be like, anyone heard anything more about this?
