My daughter took my grandsons to Seaworld yesterday to see Australia's only polar Bears. She was told that Seaworld now only have 2 males - no females. Is that right? ISIS was no help. It shows no Polars in the Australasian region at all.
their website still says: "Sea World adopted two orphaned Polar bear cubs late 2004, Hudson and Nelson, who were found in the wilds of Canada and have been taken into care at the naturalistic and enriching Polar Bear Shores. Guests can visit the cute and playful bears along with their newest friend, Lia."
Seawoeld have four bears, a brother/sister and two brothers. They are hoping that the female will breed in the nest season as she has displayed interest in one of the brothers. What did your daughter think of the penguins Ara?
Thanks for that info.,people...... jay; you asked what my daughter's impression of the penguins was; she thought that the enclosure was a bit restricted in size, but overall she was interested to see Kings and Gentoos for the first time. She was very intrigued by the sight of one of the Kings dozing in an upright position with its feet off the ground, supported by its shanks and tail.
