The potter park zoo is currently working on introducing their to black rhinos dopssee(f) and Jello(M) to help with breeding purposes later in life. It is a big hope of there's to breed these two because Jello is the last of his bloodline.
Then truly they are in the best of age ranges to breed successfully (a male should be ideally a few years older than the female and females become sexually mature at 3-4 years of age). Fingers crossed that they hit it off soon!

The zoo has three North American river otter pups. One was born at the zoo, and the other to came from the Alexandria Zoo in Louisiana. The three of them are all being hand raised together.

Due to extreme weather tomorrow (Most of Michigan is reportedly suppose to be around -25 degrees farrenheit) the Potter Park Zoo will be closed. Even though, I highly doubted most zoochatters were planning on going to Potter Park tomorrow.

A female Amur Tiger named Nikka has left Potter Park for John Ball Zoo. The Ring-Tailed and Red-Ruffed Lemurs left their exhibit near the Mandrills for an exhibit in the center auditorium. An Alaskan Moose has recently gone on exhibit. Come visit Alaskan moose Willow! | Potter Park Zoo
The zoo's female Binturong, Mya, is now in the former Red Panda exhibit as the zoo creates a new panda habitat.
