Thank you for this information. So the ethologist can also participate in the development of an enclosure?

I plan to create a special thread for my questions.

More related to the subject: Do you know where the ayes ayes are currently hosted in the world?
And what is the best installation you have seen for this primate?

In Europe: Bristol, Frankfurt, Chester London and Jersey. I think Cincinnati might have them but really not sure about the US. :)

Aye-aye is present in Ueno and Taipei in Asia.
I think Taipei only have (0.1) but Ueno have at least 5-6 animals.

Taipei has one young female aye-aye, that was bred at Ueno. They hope to get a male and breed them. Enclosure is a bit on the small side, with reverse lighting and a red light, so all photos of her come out red. She is very acrobatic and always climbing around.

On another note, the Northern Dry Zone Slender Loris (Loris lydekkerianus nordicus) is kept in a few places in Europe, but is it in America? I remember seeing it as a kid in the World of Darkness at the Bronx Zoo, but that building closed over a decade ago, so I have no photos of it.

Sorry despite research I have not found American zoos hosting it.

The following collections have had aye-ayes at some time in the period from 2018 to date: Denver, Duke University Lemur Center, Philadelphia, San Diego, San Francisco. It seems that San Francisco may not have aye-ayes now.

Thank you, which one is best for animals and the public? (among those of the whole world of course).

Doesn't Ueno have an outdoor exhibit?

I seem to remember an Asian zoo having an outdoor exhibit for aye-ayes but it seems I was wrong.

There are 56 aye-ayes in total outside of Madagascar. 20 in Europe across five holders, 25 in the US across seven holders, 10 at Ueno, and one at Taipei.

Before I get the question about which zoos and how many:

    Four at Frankfurt
    Three at Bristol
    Three at Chester
    Eight at Jersey
    Two at London

    Two at Cincinnati
    One at Cleveland Metroparks
    Three at Denver
    Nine at Duke Lemur Center
    Two at Henry Doorly
    Four at Philadelphia
    Four at San Diego

    Black Lion Tamarin

I'd be somewhat surprised were this to be accurate - although it would be a nice surprise!

    Assam Macaque

This one doesn't quite ring true either - certainly the species was not held when I visited in October 2018, and I have heard no reports of fresh imports.

1.1 Black Lion Tamarin are held at Bird Park Vorobi whilst a group of Assam Macaque are still listed as held, or at least owned by Dresden but the information is sketchy on the group at best

San Diego is only currently listed as holding three and interestingly there is now no record of Denver holding the species currently
