The source that I found this news from mentions that Spangles is elderly, and Cisco was around the same age as her... I think it's logical to conclude that Cisco died.

If Spangles is elderly does that mean the zoo will get a female for breeding?

I honestly don't have any idea. I'm getting all my information from the Andean Bear Foundation's Facebook page, but a bear with new bloodlines seems like a likely candidate for breeding, so I guess that eventually a new female will arrive.

Turns out Cisco went to the Smithsonian's National Zoo to breed with Billie Jean.

I do not have a species list but I do know that last year the porcupine exhibit was removed. The aviary mainly holds north american waterfowl, egrets and during the summer macaw's.

THE QUEENS ZOO GOT ROBBED!!!!! Here is the story from CBS:

An armed gunman went off with nearly $5,000 this past weekend after holding up the Queens Zoo in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, a park advocacy blog reported Wednesday.
The thief took $4,873 in the robbery around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, New York City Park Advocates president Geoffrey Croft reported in the Walk in the Park blog.
Citing a police report, the blog reported the assailant pointed a gun at two zoo employees and demanded “the money.”
The suspect held a gun on one employee, while the other loaded money into a bag, the blog reported. The suspect fled into the park, the blog reported.
The blog described the suspect as being a Hispanic male standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall and in his 30s. Police have not issued a news release on the robbery, and the DNAInfo reported the NYPD had no further description.
The 18-acre Queens Zoo is operated by the Wildlife Conservation Society.
Flushing Meadows-Corona Park had the highest crime of any park in the city besides Central Park so far this year, DNAInfo reported.

Is that an answer to my question or...?

If so, thanks! What's your source, though?
