The wife of the owner was bitten by a Taxas rattlesnake but luckily she could be saved. Already 2011 another accident happened at this Herp-zoo but in that case the person bitten by a Neotropical rattlesnake died.
She's actually his girlfriend/partner, not his wife... As for the previous accident, it is still hard to fathom why/how the accident took place, given the experience of the victim in handling venomous snakes.
