Howletts Wild Animal Park sad news at howletts

    Did you know that KIJO the silverback gorilla at howletts died at howletts 20 december 2008 but a female called dihi is heavily pregnant at howletts so a new should be born soon see you later guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I know he died but I didn't know a female was pregnant. Hmm, bad times. Might make it impossible to intergreat a new male into a group with another males' baby.

    Very true, and is such a shame. However there is chance they could find a very laid back Male to introduce.

    Last I heard that they were looking at suitable candiates amongst the batchelors at Port Lymphe.

    Lol, get him before she pops! Surely they can use one of the Lympne males?

    Alot of the Port Lymphe males are from these breeding groups, plus they are kind of working along with the EEP now. They may want them to go one diret while the parks my have there own ideas.
