Dear all, will anyone be able to tell me the name of these two turtles? It doesn't seem same as one of four species mentioned there. The photo was taken last week in the turtle pond in Reptile Gardens. Thanks a lot.
@DannySG A species of Cyclemys leaf turtle. Supposedly the native species that can be found in Singapore- Cyclemys dentata. Great shots btw!
@Casuarius_casuarius @DannySG the 3 turtles in the 2 photos look different. The bottom one looks like Cyclemys dentata, but could the top 2 be Siebenrockiella crassicollis?
@Casuarius_casuarius @Zooish , thanks a lot for your prompt feedback. If my memory is correct, these should be three different species.
One more group photo, the top2 should be same as 2 in the previous post. In the 2nd photo, the left one should be the single one in previous post
@Zooish @DannySG I made a mistake. Yes, the first photo in Danny’s 1st post include both Cyclemys in the foreground & Siebenrockiella on the right. The stripe markings on the neck + rounder, flatter shell give it away as Cyclemys. The one at the bottom is the adult male Heosemys spinosa- just covered in lots of algae, so the traditional chestnut-brown is obscured.
Yeap, all turtles in this 2nd post are the same ones in Danny’s previous post. Tho this time, the adult H. spinosa is accompanied by a Cyclemys.
