50 plus species with most not seen do you think ticket cost of $20.95 is okay?
Glad we have membrship for both zoo. Hard to justify price in this economy.

How does 7 out of 50+ make "most"? And with an AZA zoo membership, like both SusScrofa and I have, the admission is half that. Several of those species are very rare in zoos. Several also currently have babies.

(I saw all on-show but the cougar on my visit at the beginning of the month)

The zoos non-member price is a bit on the higher side I suppose, but I have AZA membership so it comes out to only $10 a ticket which is good for what you get to see.

7 specie is a lot, in my opinion. Due to avian flu or covid guideline. The discovery center has a lot of species not seen due to being closed. Probably 12 species or more in the tanks and the ambassaddor animals that may come out.
Window Wild also has repeat animal exhibits.
It is high price for not much seen. Even if half off due to membership.

Many zoos of comparable size in expensive cities like Boston charge a similar amount nowadays. Some zoos still offer tickets of really great value like Miami, Los Angeles and of course the free ones like National and St Louis. But I think these are more the exception than the rule unfortunately.

7 is not a lot, and is far from "most", like you said. Only TWO of those were actually off-exhibit, plus the couple of super common animals in the discovery center (construction). Ambassadors don't count toward a zoo's total.
The only repeating species in Windows is the sloth/agouti combo, with two exhibits, which happens a lot in zoos. One of the two exhibits for them has a mother with an infant sloth. The price is completely comparable to zoos of a same size, especially city zoos.

Stone zoo is not a city zoo. It is located in town of stoneham north of boston. 26 acres sounds like lot but lots of area not developed. For zoo in new england, stone is towards bottom of value for what you see compared to roger william or beardley zoo. If it is winter, a lot of animal at stone not out like iguana, bush dog, tortise and gibbon.

?? I know where it is, I went there a few weeks ago. Just because it isn't right in the heart of the city, doesn't mean it isn't a city zoo. It's one of my favorite zoos in new england.

@SusScrofa you did a marvelous job cataloguing everything! The Sierra Madre exhibit in particular actually intrigues me, and I hope to see it in person first chance I get.
