The past weekend a friend told me Terra Natura Benidorm don't have Sumatran tigers any more.
In it's former enclosure we can see clouded leopards. Any of you have moreinformation about these animals?
    Many thanks in advance.

They originally had two females from Dortmund in 2004. Bahagia and Bagira. Bahagia was transferred to Edinburgh in 2011. The remaining sister (Bagira) was later joined by a male from Rotterdam called Vanni. Unfortunately it wasn't successful and he killed her during a failed introduction..... He transferred from Benidorm to Frankfurt in Spring 2017

The male tiger KABUS moved vom Belfast Zoo to Naturzoo Rheine/Germany yesterday. Rheine has two sisters born 2009 in Lisbon - one of them will move to a zoo in England.

The other female from Rhiene will go to Howletts (apparently)

The last male at Rhiene was Kabus's father, Batu. He arrived from Chessington in 2008 and stayed until his transfer to Aalborg in 2013.

Paignton are still on lockdown due to TB restrictions. No Mammals (human's exempt) are allowed in or out of the site under any circumstances until the restrictions are lifted. That could potentially take years.
So they couldn't have accepted her even if they were offered her.

Yes, I think one of the sisters will go to Howletts, they announced that they will receive a female from Germany.
Is Lucu also still in Paignton because of those TB restrictions?

Tierpark Berlin have announced the birth of 2.2 cubs. Born on the 4th August. These are the first (surviving) Sumatran Tigers born at Tierpark in 15 years. Not only that but both parents (Mayang and Harfan) were imported from Taman Safari in 2013 and are new founders/bloodlines to the EEP. Themselves having been born to wild caught parents

I don't think that I'd be going too far as to call these cubs the single most important birth of the Sumatran Tiger EEP in over 30 years
