The Zoo d'Amiens wrote in its 2019 booklet that a couple of Sums will arrive for this autumn.
Does anyone know which ones are programmed to go there ?

Wonderful news! When I visit Yokohama Zoorasia, I will say to Deru(f) "Hi Deru, you have new born half-brothers or sisters in Denmark. You became big sister again!"
I will share this happy news with my friend, who often visits Yagiyama Zoo, Senday City, to see Bayu(f), Deru's littermate.

Does anyone have the DOB of Selatan? (??/11/1990) - born to Frank and Poetry. I think it’s the 27th but not 100%

Also, the export dates of Calang and Selatan from Melbourne?

    Cheers,

Male, Jambi has been PTS at Edinburgh following age related health issues. He was born at Dudley (Sarah X Filon) in September 2002 and spent most of his adult life at Tierpark Berlin before moving to Edinburgh in 2015. Edinburgh now just have female, Dharma who arrived from Fota in March

Thank you @Michel L'HUILLIER. What date was her sibling, Calang, transferred to Perth Zoo?

I found an article which said Melbourne Zoo has held Sumatran tigers since 1976. As far as I was aware, their first tiger (Poetry) arrived 21/04/1979. Do you know what tiger/tigers they had before she arrived?

The 3 first in Melbourne I got are :

    DJAMBI (m) :
    b. 26/11/1975 ROTTERDAM,
    t. 17/09/1976 MELBOURNE,
    d. 04/10/1979 MELBOURNE

    POETRI (f) :
    b. 25/05/1978 ROTTERDAM,
    t. 21/04/1979 MELBOURNE,
    d. 23/11/1997 MELBOURNE

    BUM/FRANK (m) :
    b. 20/03/1980 FRANKFURT,
    t. 02/06/1981 MELBOURNE,
    d. 20/11/1999 MELBOURNE

Can you provide us the link of the article you spoke about ?

Concerning CALANG, I don't have a precise date, but it could be circa 1994/1995.

Thanks for that. I wonder why Djambi died so young. Calang was transferred out of Melbourne Zoo 1994, I was just curious if the studbook had the month and day.

    This is the article:

    I don't own studbooks later than 1993...
But I ordered the SB 2004 yesterday.
Hope to find some answers to my (and your) questions... ;-)

If I'm not mistaking, here are what I have about the 10 tigers born at Melbourne as they say in the article.
If you have more infos, I'm interessed :
    NO NAME #742 (BUM/FRANK x POETRI), b. 25/07/1990 MELBOURNE, d. 25/07/1990 MELBOURNE
    SELATAN (BUM/FRANK x POETRI), b. 27/11/1990 MELBOURNE, d. 00/06/2012 DUBBO
    CALANG (BUM/FRANK x POETRI), b. 27/11/1990 MELBOURNE, d. 00/00/2006 PERTH
    ISHA (RAMALON x BINJAI), b. 28/10/2006 MELBOURNE
(I know her particulary, while she mates with Jae Jae at Parc des Félins, and we'll go to visit her tomorrow)
    SATU (RAMALON x BINJAI), b. 28/10/2006 MELBOURNE
    NAKAL (RAMALON x BINJAI), b. 28/10/2006 MELBOURNE, d. 13/03/2008 MELBOURNE
    HUTAN (RAMALON x BINJAI), b. 09/02/2010 MELBOURNE
    INDRAH (RAMALON x BINJAI), b. 09/02/2010 MELBOURNE
    ACEH (RAMALON x BINJAI), b. 09/02/2010 MELBOURNE
    RANI (RAMALON x BINJAI), b. 09/02/2010 MELBOURNE
As you can see, only 2 couples mated at Melbourne in the history.

Of Ramalon and Binjai’s first litter (born 2006), Nakal drowned in 2008; and Satu and Isha were sent to Taronga Western Plains Zoo later that year. There is an article about them here:

    Zoo Welcomes Sumatran Tiger Pair

Of Ramalon and Binjai’s second litter (born 2010), Hutan and Indrah remain at Melbourne Zoo. Aceh is now at the National Zoo and Aquarium in Canberra; and Rani is at Darling Downs Zoo.

In case you didn’t know, Ramalon is the grandson of Frank and Poetry. He was born in October 1995 to Shiva and Selatan.

    Thank you @Zoofan15.
I think I'm now quite complete on RAMALON's pedigree, except the dates starting with "00/00".

    Shiva died in March 2002.

Do you know why Nico and Meta died? They were both quite young (14 and 15 years old).

I would not classify 15 y.o. tiger as quite young...
