Am guessing it's probably a bit late now, but just in case anyone in interested, there is a PubSci talk tomorrow night (20th Aug) at the The Old Kings Head near London Bridge, about Jamrach's Menagerie and exotic animals in Victorian London. Unfortunately the PubSci website seems to be down for me, but they have info posted on their twitter feed, with a link that may work in good time (it was working perfectly fine earlier ) https://twitter.com/PubSci (wasn't too sure where to put this, but the UK forum seemed appropriate. If it's in the wrong place please feel free to move it)
Thanks for drawing this talk to my attention; I'll try to come along. I cannot access the website either; do you know what time the talk starts ?
Rather than start a whole new thread, I thought I'd add this here (maybe one of the mods would like to rename the thread? Thanks! ) The NHM Museum at Tring have a couple of interesting talks coming up, 'Walter Rothschild: the Man, the Museum and the Menagerie' and 'Architecture and History of London Zoo'.
