    When was the last time that Taronga had African elephants and polar bears?

    I was looking to see the old Ape Cages but they aren't shown- maybe deemed too bad for the film. ;)

    Thought this might be a good thread to use for this - there were a few very brief clips of Taronga Zoo in 1961 (I believe) in the series Final Rendezvous on the ABC. Probably about 15 minutes in.
    I just have it on in the background after Fight for Planet A finished, but apparently it was ASIO surveillance footage as the zoo was used as a location for a secret agent meetup.

    Unless the film is edited recently, I doubt it. It appears to have been made officially and well reflects the standards and expectations 60+ years ago. All available historical data is so important to the story of our zoos evolution. Thank you Hix.
