I loved King Kong 2005 simply because it gave us a realistic (somewhat) giant gorilla. I also liked the early 1900s as a setting. Although I can't wait for GvK.

I very much like the 2005 King Kong as well. I mean if you ask me they could have cut out some of the beginning before they're on the island but overall I really enjoy it. Of the 3 Kong films I've seen (the 1933 one, that one, and Skull Island) it's definitely my favorite. Have you ever seen the original 1933 one? I saw for the first time just this last Friday. The acting is horrible but I really liked seeing where monster special effects had there start.

That was my idea as well. A bunch of the old Kong and Godzilla films are on HBOMax so I'm gonna binge as many as I can and see if I can rent the rest on Google Play.

As a side note, although I will be able to watch it the day it comes out on HBOMax if all else fails, I really hope the local theater opens back up, even if it's just for a brief moment, so I can watch GvK on the big screen.

I have not I'm afraid. I didn't know it was on YouTube. Knowing this however I may just have to check it out.
