Here is a very interesting story about the largest natural history collection of whales in the world. The Smithsonian has specimens of all known whale species, living and dead (and possibly several as yet undescribed species).

Anyone who likes whales and/or natural history museums may be interested, as well as anyone concerned about whale conservation. There is a very interesting history of whale conservation within the story.
