    What makes an ideal exhibit?
I came up with a list of things that to me would be an ideal exhibit or house.
This is what I came up with (not in any particular order):

    high LEED rating for construction
    energy and water efficiency
good viewing vs animals able to hide balance
Able to hold multiple pairs/groups/ flocks etc and rotate for exhibit and off exhibit
encourage breeding (nest boxes, dens, substrate to lay eggs etc)
    easy to clean/sanitary
    naturalistic
good ventilation if indoors and seperate for each exhibit
access to water at all times
shade for substantial portions of exhibit at all times if outdoors
enrichment/stimulation that encourages full use of space
exceed AZA recommendations for space requirements
    keeper safety
    unobstructed views
allows animals to exhibit full range of behaviors/activities
allows close contact and ability for visitors to hear and smell animals as well
good signage -pic of critter(s), range map conservation status diet habitat, specific info on animals exhibited
