Something that triggers me is people mixing up venomous and poisonous. I know it may be a mistake but it annoys me. A simple way if knowing venomous vs poisonous is, if you touch it and you perish it’s poisonous. If it bites you and you perish it’s venomous.
I don't mix it up, Its a pretty simple recognition for me. I can understand why It might be confusing for some people though.
Crazies who believe in a worldwide "reptilian conspiracy" irritate me. I was reading the other day about the Nashville suicide bomber and that he believed in a conspiracy theory involving "reptilians" taking over the world. If "reptilians are taking over the world" then why are freshwater turtles the second most endangered group of vertebrates ?
It baffles my mind how such ridiculous ideologies can be believed in by so many people but then again is it so suprising ? Times have always been strange but we live in some very strange times indeed. In a way though it is just a bizarre modern mythology and re-telling / rehashing of old mythological themes by the bewildered and ill which borrows / recycles the evil reptile imagery of the Abrahamic religions like the snake of Satan.
err, as a car enthusiast who dreams of owning an assortment of cars in a showroom like garage I may disagree with you on that.
What is the most endangered group of vertebrates, according to the IUCN? I've heard primates, lemurs specifically, and sturgeons all being considered that. Frogs and cartilaginous fish are up there, too, but not as bad, as <50% are worse than LC/NT.

Amphibians are the most threatened endangered vertebrate group according to the IUCN. Lemurs and primates comprise the most endangered mammal group. In terms of reptiles it is freshwater turtles. I have absolutely no idea about fish though. I think that in terms of plants what you've mentioned about the status of cycads seems to me to be correct though not 100 % sure on that either.
Funny I should read this I caught my wrist the other week, it stings!! So in my case I'm really irritated as I burnt myself with a soldering iron and I have been shown how to use one in the past... stupid reigns again
I burned my upper arm taking a tray out of the oven last week. I especially hate it because these small burns only begin to hurt later on.
The oven tray and shelf burns are really annoying, they always hurt more afterwards like you say. In experience once burnt run the burn area under tepid water, then cream it up to keep the skin moist.
