I'm really curious about what zoos in U.S. you guys think has the best exhibits for certain animals. So every week I'll give a list of five animals, and I want you guys to list top five zoos for each of these species.

    For the first week:
    1. Nile Hippopotamus
    2. African Elephant
    3. Tasmanian Devil
    4. Spotted Hyena
    5. Ostrich

    2. Dallas Zoo
    3. San Diego Zoo
    4. Bronx Zoo

Oh, I'm not sure that really works though. For instance I'm not sure there are even 5 zoos in the US that have Tasmanian Devils. In my opinion it makes more sense to just list the best exhibit for each species.

There are at least five zoos with Tasmanian Devils, if I remember it correctly. San Diego, Toledo, Columbus, LA, and Fort Wayne have it.
Although I can go with your format if you like it. I tried to make the species list not too rare in U.S. zoos though.

Of the zoos I’ve visited which is extremely limited, there are two standout exhibits I’ve seen that call my attention each visit. The Nile Hippopotamus exhibit at the San Diego Zoo allows for you to see them trot by while you are seated in the shade. As for African Elephants, I stand by Elephant Valley at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park is amazing due to the high interactivity amongst the whole herd as well as exhibit size. Also seemingly having calves frequently is a huge plus.

    1. San Diego/Philly (nostalgia seeing Cindy and Unna in their pool)
    2. North Carolina Zoo
    3. San Diego
    4. Bronx
    5. North Carolina (the Forest Edge is truly an underrated gem in terms of exhibits)

Speaking of which, I'm rather curious about how the Bronx's Hyena exhibit looks like.

It's a relatively simple, wooded yard that does its job. There's a raised overlook to the right of the habitat that gives an unobstructed view of the hyenas. The tree choice is remarkable, giving you the feeling of being in a Miombo woodland.

Oops, just found out there's practically no Jaguarundi in US zoos. Oh well. I'd replace it with Jaguars instead.

    5. A tossup between San Diego (surprisingly good) and Philadelphia (pretty good as well)
