    Is this the new Runcorn system? I will make sure I avoid it at all costs!

    Yes. It's better to avoid it and drive miles further than pay the £1.80 fee. :rolleyes:

    Because I can be on the M53 or through either the Queensgate or Kingsgate tunnels in just a matter of minutes, it’s quite unlikely that I will ever find myself in a position where I would really need to use it, thankfully! Also because of my health problems, I find things like this disproportionately stressful, anyway.

    For a moment I wondered how we had suddenly got to Cardiff Bay! (They are QueensWAY and KingsWAY). :)

    I tend to just refer to them as the Birkenhead tunnel and the Wallasey tunnel, and only really ever use them very occasionally.
