Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone who is a regular visitor to Chester Zoo could maybe give me a brief list of what species are in the Tropical Realm? I have only been once to Chester Zoo years ago, and I was remember thinking what a unique exhibit it was. If its too difficult then no worries!
From recall: Parsons Chameleon Tuatara Giant Tortoise Radiated Tortoise Golden Mantella Blue legged Mantella Spectacle Caiman Caiman Lizard Aye-Aye Giant Malagasy Jumping Rat Congo peafowl Great Hornbill Victoria crowned Pigeon Nicobar Pigeon Java Sparrow Sunbitten I would suggest checking the Chester Media though, that may give you some more help than I can

The mantellas are actually there, we have been told by the keepers. I don't know anyone who has seen one yet though. The yellow-faced Mynah is now housed with the white-winged wood ducks. emperor tetras are in the caecilian tank.
Thanks for that Rob, I have spend about 5-10mins most visits looking for them, although I did spend longer looking for the Tree Runners at Marwell last year! I can see why the Mynah was put in with the duck because it was getting too friendly with visitors e.g: Yellow-Faced Mynah being very friendly! by MagpieGoose posted 28 Dec 2016 at 11:58 PM
All of which can never be used again due to it no longer being safe to use, and costing far too much to put right.
So friendly in fact, on my last visit it greeted me with a polite 'hello!' I shouldn't have been that surprised, it is a mynah after all, but I wasn't expecting it.
