The official name of this new facility in my city is Funny Foot Farm and Tucson Petting Zoo. What the first part of the name means I have no idea. It is essentially a kid's petting farm with a small mix of domestic animals and exotic animals, most (maybe all) of which can be petted. I have not been myself (and likely never will) but here are the exotic animals listed on their website: capybara mara (aka cavy) crested porcupine emu tortoise (species?) plus several domestic animals Welcome to Funny Foot Farm and Tucson Petting Zoo
You should go! I want to know more about the place (such as what the heck Funny Foot Farm means) and would love to read a review.
The only reason I would go is if I had some friends with young kids that wanted to go to pet the animals. I would be curious to meet the owners and see what their purpose and future plans are, but not curious enough to go out of way to make it a priority.
Top of their webpage states that the current location will be closed Feb 7 (2023) and will reopen Feb 8 with farm animals only. The exotic animals (currently capybara, mara, porcupine) will move to a new location with an undisclosed opening date. Name of new location is Ghost Ranch Exotics and it will be in Avra Valley, which is just west of Tucson.
Their second facility (Ghost Ranch Exotics) suffered severe damage from a recent monsoon storm. Four animals are missing: one capybara, one kangaroo, two porcupines. Ghost Ranch Exotics missing multiple animals after Monsoon activity | Watch (msn.com)
