I do NOT like this plan. They're planning to remove two seminal exhibits, that being the South American exhibit and the reptile house. I also don't see anything to improve the welfare of the piss-poor Amazing Asia

    Orangutans and mandrills live together????

A bad sign is that the master plan only includes pictures from the wild/other zoos. Any half decent master plan I've seen has some awesome concept drawings that spark the imagination.

Well that tells us something about how much the zoo/county was willing to fund the master plan. Those drawings are time consuming (expensive) to produce. And they are usually required as part of anticipated fund-raising efforts.

No, it is proposing rotation exhibits not mixed-species... "on a time share basis"

A masterplan is just a concept. I've known masterplans/exhibit proposals that cost so much too produce that it takes away from from the actual exhibit its self. Some have cost well over half million dollars leaving some additions (zoochatters especially get excited about) cut out entirely

That's curious. Can you say what "masterplans/exhibit proposals that cost so much too produce that it takes away from from the actual exhibit its self."?
