Not zoo related I know but would just like to say what a great site and great people on it.
After quite a long time away in which I became interested in zoos through the libraries in several places, I came upon this website on an Internet search on my release. Although I don't post much I do enjoy reading everybody's posts and different thoughts.
On Monday I met animal friendly in person and also his son junior. What a very nice man animal friendly is and gained me a position in his sons scaffolding business for which I am truly grateful. Who would have thought anyone would give me a job with a past like mine. Just over 10 for A.R.
If it hadn't been for this great site zoo chat introduction to these gentlemen would not have been possible.
Thanks zoo chat and thanks again animal friendly and junior.

Very admirable I must say, I wish you well in your new career and hopefully you can put your past behind you and look forward to the future with a positive frame of mind. I do not find it surprising that Animal Friendly has given you a chance, reading his posts on here for some time I have come to realise what a great compassion and respect he has for sentient living beings and I am now pleased to read that extends to the human race, once again best wishes for the future Rupert.

And it sounds like you value that chance enough to really make it work, which is fantastic for both them and yourself. Good luck. :)

Excellent stuff. I suggest that this thread is pinned so that forum members can all fully appreciate the omnibenevolence of Animal Friendly in all of his (alleged) myriad forms.

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement, we all clearly misjudged Mr Friendly and his (ahem) son...

Well I must say what a marvellous word , omnibenevolence, the world would be a far better place if there were more omnibenevolent people in it like Animal Friendly, reading things like this very much restores my faith in humanity somewhat.

I see. I confess I haven't paid any attention to Mr Friendly before now so took this thing at face value.

    Honestly, what's the point?

I (and I am speculating a majority of the members here) are as mystified as you.

Typically associated with deities, in fact.

To all those who are bemused, it is alleged that there is currently a conglomerate of ZooChat accounts all, mysteriously enough, run from the same IP address.

Forgive my ignorance in this matter as I am to a great extent most unfamiliar with the world of I.T. thus I am not one hundred per cent sure what exactly an IP address is, if for some obscure reason it may have been suggested that the member Rupert the Bear and my goodself are one of a kind I can sincerely and most honestly state that this is most certainly not the case, as for a sock puppet, I think you will find that was a most entertaining children's programme on BBC 1 some years ago, The Clangers, I hope this clarifies and confirms this matter on zoo chat.
