After yet another break of over 12 months we once again have a chance,to walk around Chester Zoo and ask the Curator of Mammals Mr Tim Rowlands all those questions that we have wanted answering over the last 12 months, about any species under his care. The plan is to meet at the exit of the Monkey Monorail Station at 10:30 am on Sunday 24th April 2016, after which we will have a walk around the collection with Tim, stopping at various random points to chat and discuss various subjects, with Lunch in the staff canteen, in the afternoon we will finish up the parts of the collection we didn't do in the morning. The walk and talk is open to anybody that can contact me via zoochat private message, if you cannot contact me via pm, then you cannot attend. Anybody under the age of 18 will have to notify me of their age, and anybody under the age of 18 will have to attend with a responsible adult. So if you wish to attend all you need to do is send me a pm with your real name and a means of contacting you in case of any unforeseen reason that may result in the event being cancelled. Finally Tim would like a donation off everybody that attends to go towards a project as yet undecided.
Bah - would love to be there but I'll be in the wrong hemisphere that weekend so will have to miss out. Hope everyone has a good day, and say hello to Tim for me!
Good news; many thanks for organising this, Rob. (I was a little concerned in case this event was scheduled for the same weekend as the Bartlett Society meeting at Newquay Zoo so am pleased that this is not the case.) I’ve sent a PM giving contact details.
Disappointed Really sorry but I won't be back from holiday on that date. This goes without saying - have a great time!
ah dammit - I'm heading off to Finland the day after so I don't think I can spare the sunday before unfortunately if the date changes however......
People have asked me in the past,if they could do this and the first time I said yes!But when they didn't bother to turn up or even let me know that they wouldn't be attending,I have always taken the stance after that of it being a straight no.But at the end of the day this time its not me in-charge so its up to Bongorob!
