which pets can i have in new zealand

    Yes, you can own Little Owls but you need a permit.

    No, you can't. Nearest you could get would be chinchillas, but they're not super common.

    Well, apart for the monstrous errors...

    Near the top, for example, "Domestic dogs and cats are some of the most common pets you will see in New Zealand. However, some people own more interesting species, like llamas, snakes, and even lizards." - in a country famous for not allowing the import or keeping of snakes.

    Or, under the heading "Officially, the following animals may be kept as pets in New Zealand" it lists gerbil and hamster - both absolutely not allowed to be kept as pets in NZ - and "non-snapping turtle larger than 4 inches" whatever that is supposed to mean.

    Just a couple of the things wrong with that article.
