Hi, thanks for the response to my other thread. However, I would love to know the best times to visit either Whipsnade Zoo or Yorkshire Wildlife Park this year. Are there any new developments, arrivals of animals, or building work at either zoo to be considered? Also, I would love to hear your experiences at either zoo, and how much time is reasonably needed to visit the whole zoo/park.

With a bit of luck there may be tiger cubs at some point too!

And the orangutans … oh no that's just in my imagination

I'm probably no use on the time needed - I used to be able to spend the day there before they even got the lions. it depends what kind of visitor you are. Victor the polar bear seems to be active in a morning due to all the food/enrichment they put out for him. The cats are best late afternoon and you can just mosey around in the middle!

Or have lunch at one of the very best restaurants in a UK zoo (just inside the entrance/shop building, to the left).
