The Wild Animal Sanctuary is a rescue facility in Keenesburg, CO - with an additional sister facility in Boyd, TX, formerly known as International Exotic Animal Sanctuary. Over the years they've rescued many big cats (including 120 'Tiger King' tigers), bears and other wildlife. Within the coming weeks, the sanctuary will be receiving an airlifted lion pride (9 members) that was rescued from the warzone in Ukraine. A very interesting rescue story! On February 15th, 2023, the sanctuary announced they acquired a (1.0) generic tiger named Duke who was rescued from an illegal drug ring in New Mexico. The Lionesses names are Sarabi, Maya, Liba, Kenya, Chad and Malawi. Tsavo and Kenya are parents to Saraba, Liba and Maya. Sarabi is mother to Chad and Malawi with the father/grandfather being Tsavo. The bears are both males called Mickey and Ozzy.
