0.1.1 jaguarundi born. No date given but based on appearance I would say end of July or beginning of August 2018. (source: zoo facebook page)
A young female Chilean blue eagle has arrived and will be in daily shows from Easter on wards. WILD Zoological Park
The Facebook page of Wild Zoological Park has announced the arrival of a young serval named Nala, previously one of the demonstration animals at Colchester Zoo. She is currently settling in to her new enclosure and will also be participating in the animal demonstrations at Wild Zoological Park.
New for 2020 will be an extension to the African section (being very generous there) that will be home to Cape hyrax and crested porcupines. It will loop around the back of the macaw aviary and take over the skunk off-show enclosures, going by the map.

I made a trip to Wild Zoological today as part of their 7th Birthday celebrations. Few changes have happened since my last visit. Number of reptile exhibits in the entrance area appears to have decreased markedly and failed to see any Gecko's. In the Bird Show, the Zoos director Zack said how their energy bill had gone from £1500 a month to £6000 a month, so it would not surprise me if this had led to them cutting back on reptiles, as the gift shop now takes up an area where Vivs used to be. The exhibit which once held Jaguarundi, and then a Toucan, is being renovated for the Caiman which are currently in the entrance area. The old Kinkajou exhibit has had the arboreal sections removed and now is home to a pair of Large Hairy Armadillo, with Spectacle Owls in their old exhibit. There appears to only be 2 pelicans now, having previously been three. Construction of a new aviary at the back of the Outback Paddock is well underway with ground work complete. No idea if this is for a new species, or to create more room for some of the show birds. Eastern Crowned Cranes are now part of the bird show The zoo now hosts a new show called Bugz Live, which like all of Zacks shows is very humorous with adult humour packed in, in places. The zoo only has one mob of Meerkats now, with the smaller mob moved on to another collection, the zoo plan to combine the two exhibits to make one larger exhibit for the current mob. Finally, really good news that Baloo, the Binturong returned to the show arena for the first time today after he had been away for the last few months. Earlier in the year he was diagnosed with cancer, and the vets were not sure he would make it. Whilst Cancer can be quite common in Civets, Baloo is very much an ambassador for his species, as to Zacks knowledge, he has been the first Binturong to recover from Cancer, and has now had the all clear. He has been in his exhibit for the last few weeks, but today was the first time he returned to the mammal show. He didn't do anywhere near as much as he used to, and Baloo Experiences remain unavailable, but it was lovely to see his dedicated keepers posing for a group selfie with him, which I'm sure will end up on the social media pages. Baloo is a very much loved animal at the zoo, and it's brilliant he has made a full recovery.
Haven't been to this place, visted Tropical Birdland recently after you recommended that so will have to give this one a go too
I noticed a new species in a recent photograph on the park's Facebook page that is not yet listed on Zootierliste - the free-flight bird display now has at least three golden conures.

I'm gonna be completely honest here, there is an unusually high number of bird escapes, maybe the facility should invest in making free-flighted aviaries instead of the bird show?
The site is very small, it's on a Vineyard just outside of Wolverhampton. The actual Zoo is around an acre, and probably double that for the bird show area and training (but this around the vineyard, so couldn't have stuff built on it). Some birds are brought in for the shows, in that they have holding aviaries on site and live with the owner off site. People will say they have a lot of escapes, but it's often more they announce them and ask for help of the public to locate. The site certainly isn't anywhere near big enough to have free flight aviaries.
