Hey Guys, Would anyone know what permits i would need to keep and breed exotic reptiles, birds, mammals etc. I am not interested in very large zoo animals but may have some rhino for breeding. Overall I want to open a wildlife park in NSW to breed and protect native as well as international wildlife. Thanks in advance
You don't get one unless you operate a zoo or other form of wildlife display business. If you just want to keep exotic fauna there are plenty of foreign bird species available. Exotic reptiles are banned and they aren't simply going to give people zoo licenses as a way of working around those laws in order to keep them. And rhinos isn't going to happen either, alas.
I don't want to stifle your enthusiasm or dream, but how realistic is this? Are you an adult with lots of money, or a teenager with nothing? It sounds like you are trying to run before you can walk when you open with you "may have some rhino for breeding" and then ask "how do I get a zoo licence?"
