    Nothing to see hear people...

Lol jokes. On a serious note, I'd like to see an award for an initiative by a zoo to import a new species (e.g. caracal or something that is not well represented in the region). Past winners could include Wellington Zoo (first to import caracal in recent years) or Auckland Zoo (imported an entire flock of flamingoes in 2001). If any zoo in the region is able to import giraffe or hippopotamus from outside the region, then this would be worthy of a medal so heavy it would require several people to carry it in my opinion for reconginition of the task of navigating the red tape involved alone.

I'd also like to see an award for the most significant zoological achievement of the year (e.g. Taronga Zoo breeding the first Asian elephant calf in 2009, Auckland Zoo with their success breeding flamingoes, Adelaide if they ever breed those pandas).
