A brand-new exhibit will open in May that will see a pair of cheetahs make their debut at the zoo. (I don't have any other information on the zoo's latest addition but that is certainly exciting news!) You are correct in that there will definitely not be cubs in the future, but all of the press releases have touted the zoo's participation in the SSP program. What the zoo told me in an email was that there is a shortage of holding facilities for non-breeding cheetahs (hence the facility's involvement with the SSP) and the two cats making their debut in May are from Wildlife Safari in southern Oregon.
