If you have a list using both to make the totals then it would be very different to the list in the link in my first post (which just uses countries). All the totals will be different and the countries will be listed in different orders.
I wouldn't rush to see them in captivity - they look just like regular cheetahs. But seeing wild cheetahs in Iran when everyone else sees them in Africa would be pretty neat.
They are sometimes seen though: Asiatic Cheetah - Acinonyx jubatus venaticus | Observation.org unfortunately details are obscured.... But Iran is opening up quickly, so if you want to go, go quickly before it is "discovered" as a good tourist destination.
