... when you took a picture thru thick iron bars of a sleeping tiger laying far away in the shadow with your first (no-zoom-)camera (with film rolls) even your dady told you that this won't be a good picture. And although he was right, you still own this photography.

... you believe all zoos should have lions and tigers because people won't visit them otherwise.

I've been to lots of zoos without Lions OR Tigers and they seem to have to no trouble getting visitors.

So have I. It made a change going to Best Zoo, which has leopards and jaguars and no lions and tigers.

I've been to many zoos with no big cats at all.

How shall I take this post? Attack or joke?

By the way: My post hasn't got anything to do with the Besançon thread, it was just a memory.

I realized last week that you belong on Zoochat if you know from the top of your head where Saint-Aignan, Cambron-Casteau and Zlín are situated in the world...

You might belong on Zoochat of you associate certain parts of the world with wildlife and/or zoos.

When you go to a park where a target species is offshow and they deny you access to see it, but you wait by a tiny window just to catch a faraway glimpse of it.

    Yeah that as well.

Or even the difference between a lion and a tiger.

Yes, I do (both phrases by the way).
Regarding the fact that we can't hear and see other zoochat members when they reply to a post (or when it could be that they reply) and that some people here suddenly write it was just a joke/funny/ironic etc. during a debate or that something that was thought to be funny was meant serious, I think it is not unrealistic to ask such a question (even when it is in a fun-thread like thisone). Also, If you check the Besançon thread (again), it might be a little more understandable why I was asking.

By the way: I can handle a gibe/teasing when it is clear to me that it is one. If Dassie rat would have answered by saying that he just tried to pull my leg, everything would be fine...
